Strip District-based Wigle Whiskey has announced a partnership with Duquesne University's Athletics Department. This collaboration designates Wigle Whiskey as the official liquor partner for the Duquesne Dukes, aiming to enhance the game-day experience for fans and visitors.
As part of this multi-year agreement, Wigle Whiskey will be featured at men's and women's basketball games, creating branding opportunities and product placements.
Wigle Whiskey's presence will be visible throughout the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse arena, offering an atmosphere that combines college sports with locally crafted spirits.
This partnership underscores Wigle Whiskey’s support for local sports and expands its presence in the community by joining two Pittsburgh institutions in recognition of local tradition.
"This partnership allows us to showcase our products to a wider audience and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse," Wigle COO Alex Moser said in a prepared statement. "We are excited to partner with Duquesne University to bring our premium spirits to fans and alumni."
Wigle has obtained naming rights to two bars within the Fieldhouse, increasing its visibility. The MFA Wealth Club and the Wilke CPAs & Advisors Suite Level will include Wigle Whiskey Bars, providing visitors with a beverage option. Additionally, Wigle will expand its presence throughout the Duquesne University campus by becoming the preferred liquor partner for various university events, including weddings and ceremonies.
