ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A regional trendy taco, whisky, and tequila chain will soon be schlepping tacos and drinks at Ross Park Mall in Ross Township. Plans are in the work for Barrio Tacos to open their first store in the Pittsburgh area at Ross Park Mall this fall.
Barrio is known for having great food & service. They also are known for a wide selection of tequila, whiskey, and beer.
The atmosphere at Barrio Taco shops is described by them as "casual with a unique energy" that's created from the combination of decor, music, and staff.
“Barrio means neighborhood in Spanish, and we’re beyond excited to be welcomed into the North Hills and the Ross Township community, and we’re looking forward to becoming a dining destination of this premier shopping destination,’’ said partner, Jason Beudert, a statement.
Barrio Tacos has locations in Ohio, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Florida.
The restaurant will be the newest addition to the Ross Park Mall and is set to open in the fall and will certainly make the Big Burrito Restaurant Group a little nervous by adding a little more competition to the hip trendy taco scene in Ross Township and the Pittsburgh area for that matter. Big Burrito Restaurant Group operates the long-standing Mad Mex in Ross Township along McKnight Rd. near the Block Northway shopping plaza.
However, having another option for Taco Tuesday is never a bad thing for the consumer, so we look forward to another dining option at Ross Park in the fall.
