Pittsburgh has earned the title of "Best City for Beer Drinkers" two years in a row! With 33 breweries and 11 breweries per 100,000 residents, it's clear why this city is so popular among beer enthusiasts. Even better? The average price per pint of beer is only $4.00 - that's nearly 20% lower than the study average of $4.68! No matter what your preferred type or style may be, Pittsburgh boasts something to suit every taste; visitors can find German-style Penn Brewery alongside buzzy Dancing Gnome and Grist House Craft Brewery with its outdoor vibes.

As we turn into 2022, Pittsburgh Business Times reports that Pittsburgh's craft beer scene is undergoing a transformation. Penn Brewery recently found a new owner and has plans to open up a pub in the former spot of Bier’s Pub and War Streets Brewing. Also on the horizon for this year is the re-emergence of local production from Pittsburgh Brewing Co., making it an exciting time for suds lovers!
