We should be proud because of the top 10, the North Hills area dominates with 10 schools. Now, if you dip into the top 20, you can add North Hills School District at No. 14. Still, great schools in the North Hills abound, and this is good news for all who live across these North Hills. 

The 2022 Best School Districts ranking is based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education, Niche underscores. According to Niche, Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and more. 

No1 on the list is North Allegheny School District. NA is a top-rated, public school district and has 8,628 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1. According to state test scores, 71% of students are at least proficient in math and 86% in reading.

No 3 on the list is Fox Chapel Area School District. Fox Chapel has 4,080 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. According to state test scores, 78% of students are at least proficient in math and 87% in reading.

No. 6 on the list is Hampton Township School District. Hampton has 2,792 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1. According to state test scores, 78% of students are at least proficient in math and 87% in reading.

No 8 on the list is Quaker Valley School District. Quaker Valley is a public school district located in LEETSDALE, PA. It has 1,924 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. According to state test scores, 68% of students are at least proficient in math and 84% in reading.

No 10 on the list is Pine-Richland School District is a highly rated, public school district located in GIBSONIA, PA. It has 4,562 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1. According to state test scores, 75% of students are at least proficient in math and 89% in reading.

Not quite in the Top 10, but coming in at No. 14 on the list is the North Hills School District.
