About Courtyard WineryAbout Courtyard at Ross Park Mall

Courtyard Winery and the Grahams were driven by their love of good wine; with each new discovery came a newfound appreciation for winemaking, which sparked an interest in the ancient history of craft.

Randy's grape-growing legacy stretches back 3 generations, all the way to his great-grandparents who chose to make their home on this fertile land near Lake Erie. In those days, farms commonly cultivated an array of fruits including grapes which were harvested by hand and transferred via railcar from North East en route to New York City. Laura too has roots in fruit farming - her grandparents had set up residence in California's Bay Area.

After meeting in California, Randy and Laura's passion for exceptional wines led them on an incredible journey throughout the state. Ultimately, their dream of cultivating a vineyard brought them back to North East, Pennsylvania - where they felt more at home to build their family.

After years of cultivating and selling grapes, as well as producing homemade wine on their 125-acre vineyard farm, Randy and his family decided to take the plunge into commercial winemaking. To help them make this transition more seamless, Randy enrolled in a winemaking course at the University of California Davis - widely recognized today as one of America's most prestigious institutions for winemakers!

In 2009, Courtyard Winery was granted a Limited Winery License and the first commercial grape harvest at their farm shop soon followed. After much searching for an ideal location to launch their new winery business, they finally settled on West Main Road in North East as its home. On July 17th of 2010, Courtyard's doors opened for the very first time!
