Editor review
As I sidled up to the bar, I was half expecting Jeeter himself, doing his best Barney impersonation, to pop up and cheerily encourage me to try their special brew. "I have a favorite beer," he’d sing in that famously enthusiastic tone. "It's called Log Jammer. Log Jammer. Log Jammer, would you like a chug?" And indeed, there it was on the menu: the Penn Pilsner Log Jammer, a beer apparently named after the beloved, now-defunct water ride that once soaked many a Kennywood visitor.
Sipping on the Log Jammer, which, against all odds, did not taste like it was brewed with actual log-flavored water, I couldn’t help but smile at the absurdity. Here I was, in the middle of a child-themed bar in an amusement park, drinking a beer named after a ride that no longer existed, surrounded by décor that could give a cartoon a run for its money. The experience was uniquely Kennywood—utterly delightful, slightly bizarre, and undeniably memorable.
So, if you find yourself at Kennywood, craving a break from the adrenaline and maybe a touch of adult sanity, hop over to Jeeter’s Pub. It’s the perfect place to take a load off, enjoy a Log Jammer, and revel in the whimsical clash of childhood nostalgia and grown-up pleasures. Just don't be surprised if you leave humming theme songs from your favorite childhood shows, beer in hand.
