With new housing developments in close proximity to the grounds of the old Highland Country Club, walkable access from plenty of surrounding old-world neighborhoods, there is much potential. In our opinion, the U-haul store really took away the charm of this shopping plaza. The U-Haul store is presumably the remnant of fallback options of the defunct K-Mart that for years on end anchored the shopping plaza, along with Giant Eagle. Of course, a park, which is remembered fondly by residents, was simply not sustainable over the long haul, but it is our opinion that something better could go here. We are not sure what kind of anchor this location should, eh, target, but, hmm... Time will tell.
