OTB Bicycle Cafe Menu Highlights
Note: Visit their website for full menu offerings.
The "Sandwiches & Stuff" is quite interesting from the standpoint of your typical North Hills of Pittsburgh dining menu. Some of the more intriguing options include:
- Henry's Fish Tacos - Three warm flour tortillas filled with blackened whitefish topped with pineapple salsa and homemade chipotle aioli. See if you can spot Henry, our resident Great Blue Heron, hanging out on the lake. He’s out there somewhere looking for his next meal!
- Chimichurri Chicken Bowl - Grilled chicken, Jasmine rice, avocado, greens, black beans, roasted corn, grape tomato, scallions, chopped cilantro, lime wedge, and a chimichurri drizzle.
- The Rachel Carson Wrap - Grilled buffalo chicken, provolone cheese, lettuce, and tomato wrapped in a warm pita. Served with ranch or blue cheese dressing. A 35-mile hiking trail dedicated to pioneer ecologist Rachel Carson begins in North Park.
We are pretty sure the famous conservationist was better known for her environmental endeavors more so than a Buffalo chicken sandwich with provolone cheese, lettuce, and tomato wrapped in a warm pita, but then again, maybe she was?
The kids can eat well as well with the following options:
- The Tricycle - Three chicken fingers.
- Strider - ¼ pound cheeseburger.
- Tandem - Grilled cheese sandwich.
Unique drink options include the Boathouse Sangria, which can be made with Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Peacy Branky, Cherry, Pineapple, Orange Juice, or who knows? — maybe something mixed with the rainwater from the Pine watershed? No matter, they make a good variety of drinks here.
Gluten-Free and Vegetarian options are aplenty.
Wines on the menu include:
- Ruffino Prosecco
- Cavot Moscato
- Estancia Chardonnay
- Nobilo Sauvignon Blank
Draft beers you will find at the OTB Bicycle Cafe:
- King Lumi (Hop Farm Brewing Company) - Mosaic and Strata hop form a smooth and tropical mouthfeel along with hints of mango and ripe pineapple. “Everything the light touches is Lumi’s…”
- Lunch (Maine Beer Company) - Our “East Coast” version of a West Coast-style IPA. Intense hop flavors and aromas of tropical and citrus fruits and pine dominate. A subtle malt sweetness brings the beer into balance.
- Hazy Jane (BrewDog) - EMBRACE THE OPAQUE The lower strength version of Hazy Jane is now called Hazy O-G.
So take a stroll around the lake and enjoy an hour or two or more on the patio, indoor dining area, or L-shaped bar.
